If You Can't Go Outside... Go Inside

In July 2016 I was given a great opportunity to record my music at the rbb Kulturradio Studios in Berlin.Since then - these solo piano tracks have been hidden in my computer like a well kept secret, waiting for the right time to be released. Now is the perfect time.Whilst playing At the Water Tower I managed to reach a space where no thoughts are present, only sound and energy, total immersion in the moment. There is no better place to be. I remember towards the end of this piece my fingers spontaneously began to move at double speed, leading me somewhere I'd never been before. I had no choice but to follow them and see where the journey would take me. There was a sense of watching and hearing myself play from another place.like unlocking the door to a limitless source of energy inside me. This music was played in one go. no edits. What you hear is exactly as it was. The time of lockdown - cancelled gigs, staying at home, slowing down, self-reflection seems to me like the right moment to share thismusic. A music that moves inwards to access an inner world, away from twitter, likes and clicks. Julie Sassoon
