Paul McGann (“Luther”) and Sylvester McCoy (“The Hobbit”) embody the Time Lord in this American-British feature film version of the legendary science fiction series. Doctor Who (McCoy) is supposed to bring the mortal remains of the death-sentenced “Masters” (Eric Roberts) to the planet Gallifrey. But the mission fails, the Tardis lands on Earth in 1999. While the doctor is shot down by a street gang, the master manages to take over another body. In the hospital, the doctor meets the doctor Grace Holloway (Daphne Ashbrook). In his new incarnation (McGann), he must regain control of the Tardis and prevent his archenemy from a diabolical plan. The future of all mankind is at stake and time is running against him. “Doctor Who — Der Film” is released for the first time in German on DVD and Blu-ray and contains five hours of bonus material and a fan booklet.
