First recording release of the Dresden band around Ray van Zeschau (Ray & The Rockets, Freunde Der Italienischen Oper) als 12" VinylEP auf Major Label. Ray van Zeschau is not only a primal stone of East German underground music culture, but also active as a photographer, filmmaker, actor and journalist. His band Freunde Der italienischen Oper, nach Zwischenzeitlicher Verzeitlicher Oper, nach Zwischenzeitlicher Lösung heute wieder aktiv, gehört zur DNA der subversive DDR Musikik. Since 1997 exists, from musicians of the F.D.I.O. emerged as another project the rockabilly band Ray & The Rockets, The Distorted Elvises are in turn a spin-off of this band. After once the Rockets program was performed live with hard-distorted guitar in punkabilly-style, the Elvises exist. Known for their versatile history with many recasts and hair-raising anecdotes of the individual musicians involved in numerous other bands, it is hardly surprising that the completion of "Gun In Acapulco" took place only in 2023, after first recordings already in 2011 (!!!) took place. Here comes the late debut of a living legend!
