THE FULLERS aus New Jersey melden sich mit neuem Album zurück! ‘Cheers ‘ ist melodischer Punkrock im Sinne von PENNYWISE oder den BOUNCING SOULS. Erscheint als farbige LP auf SBÄM RECORDS. Eines vorweg: PETE STEINKOPF von den BOUNCING SOULS hat das neue Album der amerikanischen THE FULLERS produziert und nicht nur deswegen liegt der musikalische Vergleich zu ebend jenen BOUNCING SOULS nahe. Egal ob soundtechnisch oder vom Songwriting lässen sich die Einflüsse jener Band, aber auch von TEENAGE BOTTLEROCKET, LAGWAGON oder PENNYWISE ganz klar erkennen. Natürlich erfindet die Band dieses Genre nicht neu damit, aber sie machen ihre Sache sehr sehr gut und an ‘Cheers ‘ werden alte, wie auch junge ‘Punkrocker ‘ ihre Freunde finden. Als kleines Highlight ist YOTAM BEN HORIM als Gastsänger in ‘New Years Eve ‘ zu hören.
