Karli (12) zieht mit seinen Eltern in ein Hotel in den Alpen und entdeckt einen Aufzug, der ihn ins Jahr 1938 bringt. Dort freundet er sich mit Hannah und Georg an, weiß aber mehr über die Zukunft, als er sagen kann. Als Georg beschuldigt wird, helfen sie ihm und stoßen auf ein Geheimnis, das hinter der Fassade des Hotels verborgen liegt.
