Blood Red

Blood Red is een soort soundtrack bij een fictief verhaal dat zich afspeelt in het Istanbul van de late 16e eeuw. De inspiratie komt van het prachtige boek "My Name is Red" van Nobelprijswinnaar Orhan Pamuk. De composities zijn be´nvloed door zowel Arabische als Perzische muziek. De laatste hoor je terug in de vormen, toonladders en ritmes van de nummers. Espoo Big Band (EBB) is een van de toonaangevende grote jazzorkesten van Finland.
