De Portugese fluitspeler Rao Kyao werd uitgenodigd om "Vaishnav Jan to Tene Kahiye", de melodie waar Mahatma Gandhi het meest naar luisterde en die het officieuze volkslied geworden is, te herschrijven. Deze uitnodiging was het uitgangspunt voor Kyao's nieuwe cd, waarop hij gebruik maakt van moderne en traditionele instrumenten waaronder bamboefluit, Portugese en klassieke gitaren, accordeon etc. Mooie cd, die hoog scoorde in de World Music Charts.
