PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
2.5" hard drives are becoming increasingly popular, even in the server area. Therefore, ICY BOX offers a backplane with the IB-2222SSK that fits into a 5.25" bay and can accommodate four 2.5" SAS or 2.5" SATA hard drives. The hard drive case for the 2.5" drives can be easily removed, are lockable and have two status LEDs. The height of the 2.5" drives can be up to 15 mm for maximum storage capacity and compatibility. Two ports per 2.5" drive allow SAS hard drives to operate in dual-channel mode. The IB-2222SSK is extremely stable even at very high data throughput and has a correspondingly complex temperature control to be equipped for high-end hard drives. The aluminum enclosure already cools over the frame and two 40 mm fans on the rear ensure reliable and quiet active cooling of the built-in 2.5" SAS or 2.5" SATA hard drives.
