Jealous (40th Anniversary Edition)

Recorded in 1982 (yet unreleased until 1986), 'Jealous' was John Lee Hooker's first album of original material in years, putting him back on a comeback trail that culminated in his GRAMMY Award winning album 'The Healer' three years later. In contrast to the parade of guest starts who graced most of his late-period career albums, 'Jealous' is a down-and-dirty effort from Hooker's seasoned band. Featuring reimagined deep cuts from his early catalog, the album eventually won a W.C. Handy Award and was nominated for a GRAMMY Award.
