Als der Laserwaffenexperte Professor Braun gekidnapped wird, beauftragt der CIA Agent Michael Gold, um den Professor wiederzufinden. Gemeinsam mit Brauns Tochter Alissa macht er sich auf die Suche nach dem Entführten, stößt jedoch schnell auf vehementen Widerstand: Skrupellose Söldnertruppen des KGB sind ebenfalls hinter dem Professor und dessen Forschungsergebnissen her. Der Professor selbst wurde in das Anwesen des sadistischen Waffenhändlers Eckhard gebracht. Dort soll er mit dem größten Diamanten der Welt die tödlichste Laserwaffe bauen.
Michael und Alissa sind Eckhard aber dicht auf den Fersen und folgen den Spuren bis in die Wüste, wo es zum explosiven Showdown kommt .
