Die beiden Stoffpuppen Ix und Yps sind kugelförmige Knubbel mit Knollennasen und Kulleraugen, der eine hellgrün, der andere violett. Sie sind Showmaster und Gastgeber ihrer eigenen tierischen Musikrevue, in der Hunde, Schlangen, Frösche, Mäuse und vor allem die Henne Henrietta und der Hahn Jacques als Gesangsstars auftreten. Eigentlicher Star ist aber das vollautomatische Wundergrammophon, das Musik und Bilder aussucht und abspielt und den Moderatoren die Show stiehlt.
