With "Zombique", theband made an impressive comeback after 11 years of silence and released the rawest and heaviest album in theirhistory to date. Guitarist Eiko, who took over the vocals in the meantime, characterizes this album with deep growls(rather unusual for Final Cry up to this point) and contributes a lot to the fact that the content concept, whichrevolves around voodoo cults and zombie stories among the Caribbean slaves with partly historically documentedprotagonists and their influence up to the Haitian revolution, also unfolds musically in full brutality.
