Acht Freunde treffen sich nach längerer Zeit mal wieder zum Essen. Dass am selben Abend ein Komet nahe der Erde vorbeifliegt, findet zunächst nur am Rande Beachtung. Als aber die Mobiltelefone plötzlich verrückt spielen und im ganzen Viertel der Strom ausfällt, werden erste Zweifel wach, ob es sich tatsächlich nur um ein harmloses Himmelsphänomen handelt. Doch ein Notstromgenerator sorgt für Abhilfe und die Zweifel sind schnell zerstreut. Bis jemandem ein paar Straßen weiter ein zweites Haus auffällt, das offensichtlich als einziges im Viertel ebenfalls noch Strom hat. Und dann das Klopfen an der Tür und dann diese seltsame Nachricht in vertrauter Handschrift und dann… Wie gut kennst du eigentlich deine Freunde?
