In dem kleinen Dorf Skogli bereiten sich die Menschen auf das Fest der Liebe vor - mal mehr, mal weniger liebevoll, mal vergnüglich und ausgelassen, mal einsam oder lieber gar nicht. Während die einen nach Hause wollen und die anderen sie dort erwarten, wird ein Kind geboren, stirbt ein Reisender, endet eine Affäre und eine junge Liebe beginnt. Es ist der ganz normale Lauf des Lebens. An einem ganz besonderen Abend.
