"Life on the road" is iets wat pianist Benny Lackner maar al te goed kent. Het nieuwe, zesde, album van zijn trio gaat over het zoeken naar een huis, een plek om naar te kunnen vluchten. Lackner reisde jarenlang tussen de VS en Duitsland, nu heeft hij zijn thuis gevonden in Berlijn. Dat levert een mooie elektro-akoestische plaat op, met veldopnames, drumloops en complexe improvisaties.
