Als eine der dienstältesten deutschen Poppunkbands überhaupt sind THE HAWAIIANS 2020 endlich mit dem neuen Longplayer ‘Invading The Summer ‘ am Start! Erscheint als CD und LP auf Kamikaze Records. In 15 brandneuen Tracks drehen die drei Westerkappelner wie gewohnt die RAMONES, JAN & DEAN, sowie die REZILLOS durch den Wolf und singen dabei inbrünstig von Marsmännchen, verliebten Rennfahrern, Hula Astronauten und einsamen Hawaiianern. Als musikalische Gäste sind u.a. Jens Dance Hawaiian (ex-THE HAWAIIANS), Guido Knollmann (DONOTS) und Dirk Herden (UNCIVIL GREEDING, SPANK u.a.) dabei. Gemastert wurde das Album von niemand geringerem als Perry Leenhouts von der holländischen Surf-Poppunkband THE TRAVOLTAS. Abgerundet durch ein geniales Comic-Cover von Ole O‘ Brian (THE EVIL O‘ BRIANS) wird ‘Invading The Summer ‘ zum Pflichtkauf für alle Poppunk und Ramonescore Fans.
