15 cm, 86 g. The Ostheimer figures are made exclusively from high-quality, reforestable domestic woods. Most figures are made from maple. Some are also deliberately made of ash. The ash wood has a unique structure and colouring, which allows for some figures such as rhino or palm tree to create a unique design. Ash, maple or lime wood?

Most of our figures are made from maple, like many other toddler toys. The colour of this domestic wood is bright and usually shows very little grain, is therefore suitable for the "white" wildlife. sheep or polar bears also ideal without painting. On the other hand, the texture of the maple wood allows an undisturbed and beautiful painting of the products.

Ash is the powerful, quirky wood with a rain drawing. It supports the quirky character of many figures in the design. Each figure made from ash looks very different at first glance from the rest. The strong wooden drawings already give a unique form of expression, just like in nature. Therefore, some animals (e.g. rhino, camel, etc.). , many trees as well as the quirky rumpelstiltz, the gnome or the strong capricorn made of ash.

We manufacture the very large nativity figures from lime wood. They are real palm flatterers - a Mary in the size you simply have to stroke over your head. The lime wood is a very soft easy to grind wood with a slight yellowish finish.
