Cloudy with a view of meatballs. After his latest creation accidentally destroys the city centre and then shoots towards the sky, Flint Lockwood (Bill Hader) first fears that his inventor career has ended. But then the incredible happens: it rains delicious cheeseburgers - his machine works! But people just can't get enough of the treats until the apparatus spins and releases gigantic spaghetti tornadoes with giant meatballs to the earth. With the help of weather reporter Sam Sparks (Anna Farris) and his istant Steve, a talking monkey, Flint must find a way to shut down the wild machine before the world is buried under the mega-sized meatballs. Inventor Flint Lockwood thought he saved the world when he destroyed his most famous invention - a machine that turned water into food, causing cheeseburger rain and spaghetti tornadoes. But Flint must quickly find that his invention has survived and now creates living animals from food - so-called "snackies"! To avert the impending chaos, Flint embarks on a mission as delicate as dangerous together with reporter Sam Sparks and her friends: they must fight hungry tacodiles, shrimpanzees, hippopotas, frittantulas and other netties to save the world - again!
