Who Are We?

Het debuutalbum van het psych-rock collectief Al-Qasar is een explosieve mix van zware Arabische grooves, wereldwijde psychedelica en Noord-Afrikaanse trance muziek. De band noemt het "Arabian fuzz." De band is elektrisch en toch diep verbonden met hun wortels. Tot de gasten behoren Lee Ranaldo (Sonic Youth), Jello Biafra (Dead Kennedys) en Alsarah (Alsarah & The Nubatones). Gemixt door Alain Johannes (Queens of the Stone Age, PJ Harvey). Als continenten botsen, maken ze een donderend geluid. Al-Qasar creÙert de soundtrack van die splijting op Who Are We? Het is muziek voor een wereld in beweging, met voorouders diep in het verleden, maar iets dat pas in de 21e eeuw geboren had kunnen worden.
