Emerging from the gritty streets of Detroit in the late 60's, MC5 revolutionized rock'n'roll with their blistering fusion of garage rock, blues, soul, free jazz, and proto-punk. In 2018, Wayne Kramer - guitarist, founding member and driving force behind MC5 - launched the MC50 Tour to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Kick Out the Jams. Joined by an all-star line-up including Kim Thayil (Soundgarden), Brendan Canty (Fugazi), Billy Gould (Faith No More) and Marcus Durant (Zen Guerrilla), MC50 brought the uncompromising spirit of MC5 back to the stage for a new generation of fans.
