Documentary chronicling the career of the British rock band Genesis. The film documents the band's formation at the Charterhouse School in Surrey where all of the original members were pupils in the late '60s. It continues the story of the subsequent departures and arrival of new members Phil Collins and Steve Hackett in 1970. The group also discuss the departure of founder Peter Gabriel as well as the various successful solo careers of its members. How is it possible for a band with this many incarnations to remain united and to spawn so many successsful solo careers?
