1977 in Belfast gegründet, bildeten Stiff Little Fingers mit Bands wie The Clash, Sex Pistols, The Undertones, Sham 69 & The Stranglers die Speerspitze der Punk-Bewegung.
Ihr unverkennbarer Stil: Texte, die Persönliches mit Politischem mischen, eine Musik, die die Energie des Punks mit mitreißenden Hooks kombiniert und ein Auftreten mit Ehrlichkeit und Hingabe.
Jüngere Bands wie Bad Religion, Sugar, Rancid und Therapy zählen Stiff Little Fingers zu ihren musikalischen Einflüssen. Ihre Liveshows sind energiegeladen und kraftvoll, so auch ihre jährliche Show am St. Patrick‘s Day in der Glasgower Kult-Location „Barrowland Ballroom“. 2016 wiederholte sich diese Show zum 25. Mal in Folge - ein besonderes Jubiläum für die Band und ihre Fans, welches Stiff Little Fingers unter dem Titel „Best Served Loud - Live At Barrowland“ in UK in 2016 auf CD, DVD und Vinyl veröffentlichten. Endlich gibt es dieses Show-Highlight auch in Deutschland und erstmals auch auf Blu-ray.
