Mike Oldfield is an incomparable artist. Over the past few decades he has written timeless and unique music such as the classic Tubular Bells (1973) or the hit singles “Moonlight Shadow” and “To France”. He has been featured in the UK charts with over 30 albums and 25 singles, and has been awarded platinum, gold and silver worldwide. Now he is making the unthinkable possible: he remixes his biggest hits together with the multi-platinum German producer Torsten “York” Stenzel (including diver, DJ Sakin & Friends, collaboration with Faithless, Moby, Tina Turner, ATB). Oldfield in a new danceable style. The remixes were won from the original recording tracks and Mike Oldfield recorded new guitar parts for some songs. The album features classics such as “Tubular Bells”, “To France” and “Moonlight Shadow” in fresh, danceable versions. Mike Oldfield always retained creative control during the remix process, and more importantly - you can clearly hear the original song from back in every new version. Tubular Beats is Mike Oldfield and pure electro. But not only that - Tubular Beats also features the brand new song “Never Too Far” with former Nightwish singer Tarja Turunen. No other artist influenced and created female symphonic metal more than her, and here too, the singer captivates and enchants with her unique voice.
