"ARCANE" - this is the mystical and secret facet of music. Being Elane's 4th album it rests up on 3 musical pillars: Firstthere is the medieval-folkloristic side, which goes along with ELANE from the beginnings. With ARCANE also theaspects of world music have an increasingly effect on the music of ELANE. Furthermore slightly progressive rockelements play a supporting role on ARCANE. In contradiction to the last album "The Silver Falls" those elements areused restrained to emphasize the folkloristic overall impression of ARCANE. ARCANE comes as aesthetically designedDigipak with text booklet. Kai Meyer was born in 1969. The German author has published round about 50 books since1993, e.g. bestsellers as DARK REFLECTIONS trilogy and THE WAVE WALKERS trilogy. Worldwide his circulation isabout some million copies. His works were translated into approximately 28 languages for editions in USA, GreatBritain, Japan, Italy, France, Spain and Russia. Kai Meyer's breakthrough was in 1994 with "DIE GEISTERSEHER"followed by "DIE ALCHIMISTIN" in 1998. The first part of his actual ARCADIA series in English language ("ARCADIAAWAKENS") is scheduled for September 2011. Kai Meyer and ELANE met first in 2006 at a concert. "Kai Meyer'snovels were captivating me since many years. He brings it off to attract his readers always anew with extraordinarycharacters and unexpected twists. Working with Kai now is a great honour." says keyboarder Nico Steckelberg. "Themany facets of his stories were impressing me from the beginnings! Composing with the inspiration through his booksis a complete new approach for us." explains singer Joran. "Kai's themes go excellent with the atmosphere ofELANE-songs.
