In this adventure film, Robert Redford plays a cowboy who, formerly world champion of his guild, is now a poor seller in a quick restaurant. Only his suit, whose buttons glitter and shine, still reminds of good old times.
Jane Fonda is the elegant, world-savvy lady who is willing to do anything to get to an exciting story. When Redford rides out into the desert from a casino in Las Vegas - the priceless racehorse is a living symbol of his employer - Jane decides to pursue history. She always does this one step ahead of the police, who is also interested. When the two reach a remote location in the mountains of Utah, the cool reporter not only fell in love with the cowboy but also shares his beliefs.
