Dave Harvey, Bassist bei ASKA gründete Millennial Reign als Soloprojekt und Spielwiese eigener Ideen. 2012 veröffentlichte er das Debüt des Projekts völlig independent. Doch schon kurz nach VÖ und diversen sehr positiven Rückmeldungen, entschloss sich Dave Harvey aus dem Projekt eine Band zu machen.
Zwischen 2012 und 2014 stießen peu a peu der fantastische Sänger James Guest, Schlagzeuger Wayne Stokely, Bassist Daniel Almagro und der zweite Gitarrist Jason Donnelly zu Millennial Reign.
Einen Quantensprung legt die Band nun mit -Carry The Fire- vor. Hochklassiger US Power Metal für alle Fans von Iron Maiden, Judas Priest und vor allem Queensryche und Crimson Glory (was wohl primär an James Guest und seiner stimmlichen Nähe zu Geoff Tate und Midnight liegt).
Das Album wurde im Nomad Studio (King Diamond, Solitude Aeturnus, Absu) gemischt und gemastert, das Artwork stammt von Felipe Machado Franco (Blind Guardian, Iced Earth, Theocracy) und wurde entworfen von Jan Yrlund (Delain, Apocalyptica, Korpiklaani).
