The Freedom Sounds Festival from Koeln (Cologne, Germany) celebrates their 10th anniversary. To mark this special moment the Freedom Sounds crew and Aggrobeat Records joined forces to create this special box set. They invided 66 bands from around the globe who have performed at previous editions and the result is worth it! Among the futured bands are big names like Kitty, Daisy & Lewis, The Selecter, The Slackers or the Jamaican rocksteady duo Keith & Tex, but also many great new discoveries and insider tips like The Bandulus, Principles of Joy, Conscious Culture or the two-time Grammy winner Victor Rice.The box collects three CD's with over four hours of music which reflects the unique musical mix the festival stands for: ska, reggae, soul, rocksteady and dub, but also excursions into jazz and funk. The CD box features:- 66 tracks, 54 of them unreleased or new to CD- 3 CD's in a high-quality cardboard box- 48 page booklet with numerous exclusive photos from 10 festival years- Intro by Dr. Ring Ding, detailed liner notes to all tracks.This CD box is not just music, but thanks to the 48 page booklet and the many photo's from photographer Ashley Greb it became a document and a collection of memories.
