Eva-Maria Rusche beleuchtet mit „Tasti Ostinati“ die klangliche und stilistische Vielfalt historischer Tasteninstrumente im Kontext der Ostinato-Tradition – jener musikalischen Struktur, die seit jeher als Grundlage für Variation und Improvisation dient und eng mit Tanzmusik verwoben ist. Jedes Stück ist einem anderen Instrument gewidmet – Lautenwerk, Clavichord, Hammerflügel, Tafelklavier, zwei historische Orgeln, zwei Cembali, und sogar ein Fender Rhodes lassen die Werke in unterschiedlichsten Klangfarben lebendig werden. Die den Ostinati innewohnende Idee der kreativen Freiheit wird hier auch auf die Auswahl der Instrumente übertragen.
