The Equip 11943x Series Active Optical Cable (AOC) is a cabling technology that accepts the same electrical inputs as a conventional copper cable, but uses fiber optic between connectors to extend HDMI signals without loss or latency. Our hybrid cable design consists of fibre optic cables and copper wires. The high-speed TMDS signals are transmitted via the optical multimode fibers, while the low-frequency control signals are transmitted via the copper wires. The choice of active optical cables allows a distance of up to 100 m without the signal quality suffering from it or requiring a separate power supply
