The GVT-2002 SMF SC media converter can convert network signals between copper and fiber optic based networks. The converter is equipped with a 10/100/1000Base-T-RJ-45 port, supports full-duplex and half-duplex switch connectivity and automatic 10Base-T, 100Base-TX and 1000Base-T detection. When used in single mode with fibre optic cabling, the network range can be extended up to 20 km. The device has integrated dip switches for easy conversion configuration, based on the intelligent LFP (Link Fault Pass-through), which allows the converter to monitor both fiber and copper ports for signal loss, monitor cut-through and smart pass-through mode. The GVT-2002 can work at temperatures from -10° to 55° Celsius. The converter can be used as an autonomous system or as a plug-in module in the CHV-2000 19-inch converter rack, which can accommodate up to 14 devices for use in a central distribution cabinet.
