SAM & THE INMATES sind ein neues Bandprojekt erfahrener Szene-Musiker, so tummeln sich Mitglieder von Bands wie TWANG BANGERS, JAILBIRDS, ROCKIN' ROOSTERS und RAY COLLINS HOT CLUB im Line-Up. Um den Blues-inspirierten wunderschönen und ausdrucksstarken Gesang von SAM baut die Band sehr gekonnt ein musikalisches Haus aus Swing, Rockin' Blues, Rockabilly und ein wenig Country und Surf-Einflüssen. Mit ein wenig Melancholie und viel Stil wird auf "Cooped Up" den besten Musikstilen der Vergangenheit gehuldigt. Ein sehr eigenständiges Album.
