Reflections

Alexander Kilian was the winner of a special prize of the Open Strings Junior Competition in 2002. Now Reflections is his debut CD, where you would never suspect that a 17-year-old plucked the nylon strings here. The spirited and explosive sound formation as well as the interpretive density of the lecture are mature. Alexander Kilian is a student of Zaza Miminoshvili, the guitarist of world music duo The Shin. The young guitarist does not know fear of contact and draws his repertoire from classical (Debussy, Bach) as from jazz (Chick Corea, John McLaughlin). In between, sound sequences with oriental impact, fast sound cascades or lyrical arpeggios. Reflections is a musical adventure full of imagination and creativity, played by a guitarist with huge potential who already has a remarkable voice of his own.
