Significant personality - Gustav Stresemann In addition to his outstanding political career, among other things, as Foreign Minister of the Weimar Republic, Gustav Stresemann (1878-1929) was also known for the design of a suit. On the one hand, this was ideal for public performances and on the other hand could be worn casually in the office. At the same time, the striped fountain pens from Pelikan began their global triumph: all of a sudden, the popular voice referred to them as "Stresemann". This also made the writing instruments personalities. Even today, both suit and fountain pen bear the name Stresemanns. To honor the legend, Pelikan officially christened the Sovereign with stylish stripes in anthracite to the name Stresemann. Souverän® 405 Stresemann The production of the Souverän coat is subject to an elaborate process, because according to a specially developed formula for Pelikan a striped piece of material is made from cotton material in many steps, which is bent and then cut with a diamond on contour. The palladium rings on the top and bottom are fitted with the highest precision before the writing instrument is polished to a high gloss. The slightly springy, typical Pelikan beak clip gives this high-quality writing instrument its distinctive design.
