Young Groove

The music composed by Andreas Rapp draws from American tradition as well as from European art music. She is avant-garde because she recombines elements of jazz in an unheard way and at the same time traditional because it is oriented to the listening habits of the jazz community. It is a successful example of an accessible and slightly poppy jazz, but not in the tracks of the "Always-already heard? but which is recreated in each piece. A mature statement from a young generation of jazz. Standing in the tradition of the jazz quartet is a calming base and a challenge at the same time. The Andreas Rapp Quartet manages to dare the adventure of experiment on the foundation of the already tried and tested. All four musicians contribute to the overall result with their own interpretation and the fun of playing with unexpected time signatures, without the role of the Pacemaker? is imposed.
