Centered around Richard Wagners death in Venice, this program, put together by Lajos Lencses, views Venice in a quiet and somber way, rather than the typical intensity associated with the citys carnival.; Works from Liszt, Dubois, Grandval, Mahler, and Wagner himself are featured. The Budapest Chamber Academy, conducted by Geza Gemesi is the performing ensemble for this release, with outstanding soloists Lajos Leneses and Leo Leneses performing on oboe and cello, respectively.
