Missing Vittorio: Arias for Vittorio Chiccheri

In the musically glamorous Rome of the early 18th century, the young Handel was able to develop wonderfully as an artist.

One of the exceptional Roman singers of the time was the tenor Vittorio Chiccheri, whom Handel used in the leading roles of his Roman oratorios.

The Roman tenor Luca Cervoni traces the singer's career through arias by Handel, A. Scarlatti, Caldara and Chiccheri. With his soft and supple timbre and the great flexibility and agility of his voice, he brings Handel's famous tenor back to life.
