Sacred Salterio: Lamentations of the Holy Week

Trotz seiner edlen Vergangenheit ist das italienische Salterio heute so gut wie unbekannt. Im Jahr 1749 wurde auf Anordnung von Papst Benedikt XIV. das Salterio aus der Kirche verbannt. Trotzdem wurde weiter bevorzugt in Frauenklöstern gespielt. In den Lamentationen zur Karwoche aus dem Benediktinerinnenkloster von San Severo (Apulien) begegnet uns das italienische Rokoko, meisterhaft interpretiert von Miriam Feuersinger und Franziska Fleischanderl.
