Many different animals live on the farm; the Pig for example. Domestic pigs are kept almost everywhere in the world. The female Pig is called a sow and two times a year she can give birth to up to seven piglets. The piglets are fed around the clock with milk from their mother. After 7 months they are fully grown. The Pig is a curious animal and likes to live in society. The curly tail demonstrates that the Pig is healthy and feels good. If it grunts, it feels good, and if it squeals loudly, it is excited. Rolling in the mud is part of its personal hygiene. It protects its skin from insects and sunburn. Pigs are omnivores. They eat all sorts of things such as meat, vegetables, salad, bread and cereal. Drinking is also very important for pigs. Every day they drink 15 to 20 liters of water.
