Sun Celebration

De uit Polen afkomstige band Warsaw Village Band brengt na enkele jaren stilte een nieuwe cd uit, die meteen een dubbelaar is. Was hun vorige cd een zoektocht naar de elementen die alle volkeren uit het noorden gemeen hebben, ditmaal wendt de groep zich van oost naar west en blijkt de zonaanbidding het verbindende thema. De muziek is gebaseerd op zeer oude Poolse volksliederen, met muzikanten uit de hele wereld. Van Mercedes Pon uit GaliciÙ via Kayhan Kalhor uit Iran tot Ustad Liaquat Ali Khan en DJ Feel-X, zij allen dragen bij aan de transminimalroots van de band. Opzwepend, hypnotiserend, trance-achtig, de Warsaw Village Band is zonder twijfel nog steeds een van de avontuurlijkste en opwindendste groepen in Europa.
