De New Yorkse tubaspeler Joseph Daley maakt deel uit van Hazmat Modine, maar zoekt met zijn eigen groep The Earth Tones Ensemble ook een aantal grenzen op. Bijzonder is dat hij met name de lage basinstrumenten bij elkaar heeft gebracht en deze ook nog eens in de lage registers laat spelen! Euphonium, contrabas-saxofoon, contrabas-klarinet en de bas-sarrusofoon worden ook nog eens bespeeld door de crÞme de la crÞme van de Amerikaanse jazz: Bob Stewart, Earl McIntrye, Marty Ehrlich etc. Er staan acht stukken op deze cd: zeven composities ge´nspireerd op de zeven doodzonden plus een lange suite: Ballad of the fallen African warrior.
