The host computer and the display communicate with each other to determine whether the display is in 4-way or 2-way DP mode. If it is in 2-way DP mode, USB 3.0 data rates up to 5Gbps are supported. In 4-way DP mode, USB 2.0 data rates are supported up to 480 Mbps. A more flexible design makes it easier to install this cable, whose increased RFI/EMI resistance ensures it can be installed in sensitive environments.
