Der fünfte Longplayer der Nordländer ist ein von Peter Tägtgren mörderisch produzierter Kracher. Erstmals in ihrer Bandgeschichte haben Immortal eine optimal ausgewogene Mischung aus ICE-Tempo ("Withstand The Fall Of Time" und "Solarfall") und muskulösen Midtempo-Brechern gefunden ("Tragedies Blows At Horizon"). Schwerste Gitarrenriffs, spannendes Songwriting, ein gesunder Schuß Pathos, wuchtiges Drumming sowie die unverwechselbare Krächzkreischstimme des Spandexgottes Abbath zeigen auf, daß Immortal es besser denn je verstehen, ihre morbide Angriffslust in Szene zu setzen. Zudem warten die Bergener mit einer schwarzmetallischen Hymne auf -- den Titelsong. In diesem sechsminütigen Stück errichten die Norweger einen Eistempel voller Feierlichkeit, Dynamik und Rasanz.
