Seit 1983 aktiv, sind Ludwig Von 88 Legenden des französischen Punkrocks und der Underground-Musik generell, auch längere Veröffentlichungspausen rührten nicht an diesem Status. Nun, im 40. Jahr ihres Bestehens, sind die Ludwigs wieder sehr aktiv, veröffentlichen mit „L’Ete Du No Future“ bereits das dritte Album dieses Jahr, nachdem die letzte Veröffentlichung 2019 geschehen war. Die Band bleibt ihren Trademarks treu, musikalisch frei von muffigem Punkrock-Formalismus und immer mit einer ordentlichen Portion fast kabarettistischer Ironie werden Songs wie „Oui Oui Est De Retour“, „Louise Sur Les Barricades“, „Policeman“ oder „Claire Fontaine Carnage“ zu kleinen Perlen, wie sie wohl nur diese skurrile Band zustande bekommt.
