Since 2018, USQUAM has forged an intense blackened metal, fusing the essences of black, death, doom and post-metal. In this universe where violence meets melancholy, the group weaves a sound canvas reminiscent of the works of Behemoth, Naglfar and Dark funeral or Anorexia nervosa. French, Latin and English, the texts transcend language barriers to explore the depths of the human soul. Each word becomes a vector of emotion and introspection or even an existential quest. After a debut EP ''Reborn'' released in 2021 by Wormholedeath records, USQUAM is preparing to unveil its new album ''Ex Nihilo'', which will be released on January 31, 2025 on Source Atone Records. This album marks a turning point in the evolution of compositions and production with a writing that is both more varied and more disturbing. The arrival of Jessy Christ to singing also breathes a new dimension into the universe of USQUAM. His voice, rich in a thousand shades of rage and flawless control, is a journey without return to the abyss and madness. Mixed by Frédéric Gervais at Studio Henosis, the album testifies to USQUAM's ambition to expand its horizons while remaining faithful to its black essence.
