For their first album, Tea at Nine is taking us on an all-embracing journey. Second hand band is a conversation between two chapters of their lives. It works as a mirror reflecting on 2015, their first band, the birth of their friendship, and 2022 the upgraded version of the band. In the time in between they all went their own separate ways, mastering new forms of speech, travelling, studying, meeting people. They expand the conversation today by giving it new colors, but still with the same enjoyment they have playing together. On this album, they are cultivating their taste for musical exploration through jazz, rock, blues, funk and inspirations from Portugal, Spain, Ireland and India with the participation of Le´la Ta´ga invited on one track. They are building their own musical identity in English and Portuguese with a touch of poetry and a hint of groove.
