Behind the apparent softness, a quiet strength. With this 1st opus, 'La montagne EP', Grand Ressac offers inventive music that ventures towards the sound explorations of electronic pop, towards the power of hip hop, towards the roughness of rock, sprinkled with a certain groove. As a storyteller, Grand Ressac recounts the great outdoors, the connection with the elements, the fragility of existences, missed appointments. The lyrics, more often spoken than sung, are in French. We think of Bertrand Belin or Rodolphe Burger for the voice, Kanye West for the pileup of musical styles, then we forget these references as the universe of these new songs turns out to be rich, robust, singular.
