This 3-CD set celebrates Mozart and his legendary operas produced at the festival's prestigious festival - Don Giovanni, The Marriage of Figaro, Cosi Fan Tutte. in a selection of excerpts from the recordings of 1956 and 1957, conducted by Hans Rosbaud and with the Orchestre de la Société des Concerts du Conservatoire de Paris. Since the beginning of the Festival in 1948, Mozart's operas in Aix have reached the highest standard at the initiative of their organizer Gabriel Dussurget and under the musical direction of Hans Rosbaud. Not a year has passed since not two of the great Mozart operas performed in the Cour de l'Archevêché.
