"Fire Drop", Ashkabad's new album, is an album of contrasts, on the one hand musical, where Dub and Reggae rub shoulders with the many branches of Bass Music, and on the other hand visual, when each track pokes fun at the absurdities of our world by underlining unexpected oppositions, a polished production with choice guests: Davojah, Rakoon, Forelock and Jael! Ashkabad, a band from Avignon, formed in 2010, is built around the French Dub of the 90s/2000 and the English Sound System culture, borrowing also the codes of Reggae and Electro. More broadly, the duo takes pleasure in constantly mixing their influences and experimenting with all types of crossbreeding. The result is a powerful music based on the bas(s)es of Dub and open to other horizons. Live, Bast on machines and Rodj on vocals and guitar give a real relief to their music, full of energy and complicity! "Fire Drop" is undoubtedly an album that will allow Ashkabad to take their music even further, whether on the turntables or on stage.
