Twenties

"The Hookup", meaning "branching" or "connection", reflects the energy and stage fusion of the four musicians of the group. Franþois and Louis Moutin, nicknamed the Moutin brothers, are self-taught twins of French jazz, respectively double bassist and drummer. After studying science in the 1980s, they devoted themselves to music, first as accompanists collaborating with artists such as Martial Solal, Michel Legrand, or Jean-Michel Pilc. In 2000, they launched themselves as co-leaders, performing their own compositions. Franþois, based in New York, collaborated with big names in American jazz, while their music radiated on both sides of the Atlantic. Their first project, the Moutin RÚunion Quartet (2000-2013), gave more than 450 concerts and released 5 albums. In 2013, they founded theMoutin Factory Quintet, their main project, which has two albums and more than 120 concerts, including several tours in the United States.
