Eretatge

The Divine Drink is a folk metal band formed in 2005 and originating from Biscay, combining heavy/power metal, punk rock energy and traditional regional instruments all sung in the local language. Their music is carried by rich polyphonies and powerful melodies and is inspired by fairy tales, legends, history, and rural gasconic life. After three albums and many concerts in France and internationally (Japan, Portugal.) the band returns with Eretat, an album that sums up its journey while remaining bold and epic. On the solid foundations of La Halha (2020), the band's music continues to evolve without losing their identity. From the opening and high keupon "Lo Palestrion" to the final block "Lo Pont Deu Devil" and its neoclassical accents, the listener will traverse a variety of soundscapes, as well as adventures. Between roughness and sophistication, striking choruses and rare instruments, Eretatge draws the listener into the heart of the unique universe of these Biscay children who bring their culture to life and radiate their culture.
